Even with the light of gloom and despair for being ranked among the most corrupt institution, various police officers have been recognized for their outstanding work in their line of duty.
In an event which was attended by business mogul Manu Chandaria, Inspector General Hillary Mutyiambai among other top police officials.
In a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, AP Services noted that the event took place at the National Police Service headquarters in Nairobi.
''Earlier today 20 @NPSOfficial_KE Officers received the Chandaria Bravery Awards for their exemplary execution of duty and acts of valour while serving members of the public. @IG_NPS ,DIGs APS & DIG KPS, among other Senior officers at NPS HQs graced the occasion,'' wrote AP service Kenya.
Among those who received the award include; 9 offices from the Kenya Police Service, 7 officers from Administration Police Service (APS) and 4 officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
These officers were awarded for displaying bravery in their work to serve Kenyans.
They are tasked with protecting and maintaining order in the country.
The Chandaria Bravery Awards are given to the National Police Service officers every year.
The NPS officers are tasked with protecting the country and their acts of bravery and determination have saved many lives while bringing culprits to face justice.
The NPS is a major agency in Kenya that should always be looked at with great respect and appreciation.
