Some jobs are generally dangerous for one's health. Talking of cancer, there are certain jobs that put you at higher risk.
1. Rubber industries
Although people need tires for their cars, industries manufacturing these tires put their workers at higher risks of cancer. A lot of chemicals produced when making rubber products could spark bladder, stomach and lung cancers.
2. Agricultural jobs
Agricultural chemicals have been found to cause cancer especially to people working in farms where agriculture is controlled. Lung cancer is an example which is caused by inhalation of pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers.
3. Welding
When metals melt or are heated, they produce cancerous fumes. Manganese is an example of such compounds. Welding fumes may cause cancers of the lung, larynx and the urinary tract.
4. Mining
While digging through the earth to excavate minerals, there are fumes produced from natural compounds found underground. The most dangerous one is Silica which is known to cause lung cancer and bronchial infections and complications.
5. Plastics manufacturer
You have heard a number of times that plastics are key carcinogens. People working in plastic manufacturing companies have high risks of developing cancers including liver, kidney, blood, lung, and larynx.
Plastics contain cadmium, vinyl chloride, trichloroethylene, and arsenic, among other carcinogens produced during heating.
