Joel Mutuku also is known as 'Bobo' is one of fastest upcoming Kamba gospel artists from Machakos. The 27_years_old chap from Muthetheni area in Machakos county has over a few years shown his prowess in music composition.

The musician who grew up in a Christian family says that he only started singing as a choir member in his local church. His passion for music grew day by day and he started saving money to record his first album named 'Ti Masekete' (It's not by the power of evil spirits)

According to the ''Wendo Wa Yesu' singer, doing music has never been easy but thanks God despite many challenges he has prevailed.

"Music production both Audio and video plus Marketing is not easy. You need a good flow of finances and media connections. Again we travel a lot to perform in different parts of Kenya so we need money," the singer told Hivisasa on Saturday.

His song 'Ti masekete' which he featured One of the Kamba gospel singers Stephen Kasolo of the 'Kitole' fame at least propelled 'Bobo' to a different height which he thanks God for.

"Kasolo is one of my best friends. He is really blessed and humble. I thank God and him (Kasolo) for this Collaboration," he said.

Asked about his future plans in the industry, the once a Nairobi Music Awards 2018 nominee said that he wants to invest more in more quality music, win awards and help other upcoming gospel artists.

"It has always been my dream to become a star. And I know that because am hardworking God will lift me so that I can help others," the 'Muvea' singer added.

He has a six songs album and is currently working on his second album.

During his interview with Hivisasa, he thanked his fans, family and wellwishers for their continued support.

"I want to thank everyone who has been s blessing to me. I thank God for my growing fanbase and all my supporters," he said.
