Professor George Magoha has sent a strong hint that the Ministry of Education is keen on building a primary school on land belonging to Lenana High School.
Speaking to members of the press on Wednesday, the tough-talking CS said that no one would prevent the government from building the primary school if it decided to do so.
He contended that the land in question belongs to the Kenyan government which has the leeway to decide with it.
"There is only one government in this country. So if the government wants to take what belongs to the government from Lenana school to build a government Lenana Primary school, who are you to say no?" The Education cabinet secretary said.
His words come in the wake of the deadly Precious Talent Top School tragedy that left at least 7 pupils dead and dozens more nursing serious injuries.
There have been calls for the government, through the ministry of education, to build a primary school on part of the land belonging to Lenana High School.
It emerged on Monday that the area in which the collapse of the primary school building occurred has no public primary school, a reality that has generated a public hue and cry.
