All vegetables are quite important to our bodies since they are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants and other components which are essential for healthy bodies. Some of the healthiest vegetables are kales, spinach, broccoli, beets, carrots, onions, tomatoes among others.
If you notice these signs, you are not eating enough vegetables;
1. You are bruising easily
Reduced vegetable intake makes one's skin delicate and this causes bruising easily as well as increased bleeding of the gums and reduced healing. Consuming vegetable increases vitamin C intake which improves the body's immunity and skin firmness.
Vitamin C is found in vegetables such as; red peppers, kale, red chili peppers, dark leafy vegetables, broccoli and tomatoes
2. You are a bit constipated
Constipation is very uncomfortable. Not eating enough vegetables can cause constipation since they are rich in fibre. Incorporating vegetables such as broccoli, carrots among others can alleviate your constipation and get things back to normal.
3. You are more prone to muscle cramps and fatigue
Constant muscle cramps and fatigue are mostly attributed to low intake of fruits and vegetables. Potassium which is contained in vegetables plays a great role in reducing muscle cramps while Folate and Magnesium help the body in energy production.
Increased intake of dark leafy greens, asparagus and spinach will increase your vitamin levels and this will, in turn, increase your energy.
