A video of Deputy President William Ruto showcasing his rare dance moves has surfaced online.
The video, which was shared on Facebook by NTV on Tuesday, shows the second in command going down with other lawmakers on Sunday when he toured Kibra on a vote hunt mission for Jubilee candidate MacDonald Mariga.
In the short clip, Ruto stands out from the crowd as he emerges with moves never seen before. The crowd is heard cheering as the DP does his thing.
He was dancing to Sailors controversial song Pekejeng.
During the rally, the DP asked the residents of Kibra to vote for Mariga to ensure that they benefit from the fruits of the national government.
Ruto said that the constituency will not remain a center for violence if the residents will make a right choice when it comes to voting.
He said that the past leaders have always lied to the residents, adding that time for change has come.
"Kibra will never remain a hotbed of violence, a slum, a place synonymous with poverty ...We will never be lied to again," he said.
Ruto also assured the residents that the region will benefit from various projects once they back Mariga to clinch the seat.
"We have water, electricity and infrastructure problems in Kibra and it's only Mariga who will change this while working with President [Uhuru] Kenyatta," he added as quoted by Daily Nation.
The Kibra parliamentary race has pitted Ruto against ODM leader Raila Odinga, ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).
