President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday urged Asian investors to consider Kenya as their next investment hub.

In a keynote address at the Singapore Summit 2019, Uhuru reminded the investors that Kenya is a well-endowed nations where they can pump their money for higher returns at the end of the day.

He reminded them that his government has put in place different measures to ensure that business thrives in different sectors. 

The head of State also said that investing in Kenya is one of the best decisions the Asian business-minded persons can make as they seek to create more wealth.

“I invite you to use Kenya as a gateway to the African continent. It is not only one of the top-ten fastest growing economies in Africa but is also one of the most pro-business Nations on the continent,” said President Kenyatta today.

The President said that the country has also witnessed technological growth over years while citing the issue of M-Pesa among others. He said that the online mobile banking has promote other businesses.

“Kenya’s world-famous M-Pesa mobile money platform has promoted financial inclusion in our country and provided a template for reaching conventionally-unbanked populations across the region,” said the President.

Uhuru was accompanied by Dr Patrick Njoroge (Central Bank Governor), Johnson Weru (Director Economic Affairs and Commercial Diplomacy Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)  and Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga.
