The suspect was nabbed in possession of the drug worth Sh400,000 in Kisumu City's Kondele area on Wednesday evening.

Confirming the same on Thursday, Kondele OCS Boniface Mutie said that the suspect was in the process of ferrying the drug to Manyatta area.

She was allegedly in the company of two others, who managed to escape, and are said to have been ferrying the drug aboard a Toyota Corolla vehicle with registration number KAL 796X.

The vehicle was towed to the Kondele Police Station with the suspect being held in the same station pending her arraignment in court on Friday.

This comes only two months after police nabbed 10,000 rolls if the same drug while being ferried into the city from an unknown region.

The arrest was made after the driver of the vehicle ferrying the product defied police orders to stop at Rabuor, forcing the police to give a chance and shoot the vehicle's wheels.

The drug worth Sh3.5 million was seized after the vehicle veered off the road and landed into a ditch, after which the driver managed to escape on foot.
