Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege and her Kisumu counterpart Rozah Buyu have launched scathing attacks at Kandara MP Alice Wahome after he fiercely criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga's union.
The Kandara MP alleged that Uhuru has plans to remain in office after 2022, which did not augur well with the two leaders.
Speaking at Kenol town on Friday where she issued cheques to the needy students from her country, the Murang'a Woman Rep claimed that Alice Wahome has decided to engage in sideshows at the expense of development.
She said that the remarks of the lawmaker are not only baseless but also ill-biased.
Sabina Chege, a member of Team Embrace reminded Alice Wahome, who is allied to Tangatanga that she needs to think about development rather than trying to use President Uhuru Kenyatta’s name to gain political mileage.
She also reminded the allies of Deputy President William Ruto that it is senseless for them to attack the President when the electorate expects them to fulfil the promises they made to them when seeking elections into various offices.
“It’s utter nonsense for an MP to prioritise issuing press conferences in hotels (while) forgetting to work for her electorate,” Chege said as quoted by Nation.
On her part, the Kisumu Woman Rep said that Wahome’s claims that ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga is President Kenyatta’s mercenary for hire are ill-driven.
She warned the lawmaker that she risks finding herself in more trouble if she does not desist from the same.
“How can you say that Raila is a mercenary for hire. When you look at Raila’s history and life, you will definitely know that he has always chosen the right road to get you to where we are including being in detention,” said Buyu.
