Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has called on parents to ensure their children join secondary schools.

He says this will ensure that there is a 100 percent transition from primary to secondary.

“All candidates who sat for the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination must join secondary school no matter the marks they got since they might perform better in KCSE," Mandago said.

He spoke at Kaptebengwet, Soy Constituency on Wednesday during the funeral of the late Johana Kipsaina Kilach.

He warned parents against denying their children their right to education.

“Any parent who will deny his or her child the right to proceed with his or her education will face the full force of the law."

He urged those who completed their secondary education to enrol in technical institutes saying that the government will cater for their tuition fee.
