Every footballer in the world dreams of playing in the same team with best soccer players, or facing the best players.
For the past ten or so years, Argentine Lionel Messi and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, have been the best players around.
Harambee Stars striker Michael Ogada Olunga’s dream of facing them, was realised during the 2017/2018 season.
At that time, the 25-year-old forward was turning out for Spanish La Liga side Girona FC, on loan from Chinese Super League side Guizhou Zhicheng.
Ronaldo has since moved on to Juventus in the Italian Serie A, while Messi is still at Barcelona.
“It was quite amazing, playing against Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo two of the best players in the world right now, it was phenomenal,” Olunga told NTV Sports.
“I am a Real Madrid supporter and that game when we played at the Santiago Barnabeu (Madrid’s home ground), was one of my best games in my life,” he added.
Olunga currently plays for Kashiwa Reysol in Japan, with reports indicating that the former Tusker FC, Thika United and Gor Mahia striker may join a new club soon.
