Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has condemned the Mombasa chaos ahead of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally.  In a tweet on Friday, Khwalale poked holes in the rallies saying that they are platforms for chaos rather than change. He criticized the opposition for not ensuring there is peace in the region.

He questioned why rowdy youths decided to storm a press conference organized by Malindi's Aisha Jumwa and Mohamed Ali of Nyali.

"This is the BBI @RailaOdinga was telling us!GetIT411: ROWDY youth disrupt a press conference by MPs Aisha Jumwa and Mohamed Ali on BBI preparations ahead of Tononoka meeting," he tweeted.

Jumwa had said condemned the attack on her after she was confronted. The lawmaker was addressing the BBI report before irate youths stormed the event.

"BBI is about inclusivity! What happened at Lotus Hotel, Mombasa, when I was addressing the media on the issues to be addressed tomorrow at Tononoka grounds, should be condemned in the strongest terms," she tweeted.

In the meantime, ODM leader Raila Odinga announced the change of the BBI Venue. The venue has since been shifted from Tononoka Grounds to Mama Ngina. The move came after security concerns. The meeting is expected to be attended by several leaders including DP Ruto's allies.
