Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile has lashed out at people saying that he is uneducated, especially within the government.
The former Assistant Minister has for a long time been grappling with the 'uneducated' tag, which he on Wednesday denied, revealing that he is actually doing his higher studies.
Speaking on Radio Citizen's 'Mjadala Wa Citizen', the former Tip-Tip party leader revealed that he is in university, where he is studying business administration course.
He said that the narrative that he lacks education is what has kept him in the leadership cold an that he would be a top official in the Jubilee government.
"Wangenipea kiti hata kama wanasema sijasoma. Na saa hii nimejoin university nasomea business studies. (They should've given me a seat though they say I am uneducated. I am now in university for a business studies course)," Kalembe said.
He also faulted the government for picking former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, whom he claimed is a standard seven drop out, over him.
According to the former MP, he should have been considered instead, arguing that he gave his all towards ensuring that Jubilee secures reelection at a time when Echesa was nowhere to be seen.
"Unaleta Echesa ambaye aliwachia class seven unampea waziri. Echesa alikuwa wapi wakati wa siasa? Sikumuona. (How can you give the class seven drop out Echesa a ministerial job. Where was he during the campaign season? I never saw him anywhere)," he added.
Echesa was sacked in March, exactly a year after his appointment, and says he is yet to be told why he was ousted.
