Speaking during the burial ceremony of Joseph Karibiu in Yamumbi on Friday, DP Ruto said there is no visitor in Rift Valley since every Kenyan has a right to live in any part of the country.

“I want you people to know that I am an old person now having been in politics for over 30 years. I want to tell you that here in Rift Valley, there is no visitor; all of us are owners. No one has more right than the other so let's live as brothers,” averred Ruto.

“We are here and nobody is going nowhere just because of politics we will do politics and business together. We don’t want people to use tribal politics to divide people,” Ruto added.

He further said that anyone can seek to be elected in any category whatever his or her tribe is since "we elect leaders and not places where they have come from or tribes they belong to."

Ruto called on Kenyans from all divides to remain united and avoid politicians whose aims are to divide them based on their political or tribal affiliations.

He urged politicians to unite Kenyans and not divide them.
