Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has said his Gatundu South counterpart Moses Kuria is a man with a habit of insulting and speaking harshly to others.
In an interview on AM Live on Tuesday, the parliamentarian said it is no longer a secret that Kuria is fond of making reckless remarks, terming him a man with a 'sharp tongue'.
However, he said that the MP, who was only recently released from police custody over alleged assault, cannot be punished over that, as its his constitutional right.
He observed that if the MP will be punished in his ongoing case, it will not be because of his 'sharp tongue', but because of him breaching the law and committing an offence.
"We know that Moses Kuria has a sharp tongue, having a sharp tongue is a constitutional right. If he breached the law he should be punished, but that (sharp tongue) is not a reason for him to be punished," he said.
The MP has repeatedly been changed in court for making remarks deemed offensive to certain politicians or communities in the country.
In September 2017, he was arrested and detained at the Pangani Police Station after calling for a manhunt in Kiambu for 70,000 people who voted for ODM leader Raila Odinga, and 200,000 who never voted in the polls.
In a Facebook post, he claimed that the manhunt would be done on the night of September 5.
