Speaking on Sunday in Athi River, Machakos County, Kuria said that Governor Sonko has shown that he cares for the interests of the common citizens.

Kuria said that he didn't join the 'Kieleweke' or 'Tanga Tanga' factions of the Jubilee Party because the two groups focused on 2022 politics.

“We are not 'Tanga Tanga' or 'Kieleweke' factions but we are Team Wanjiku because we are only championing for the interests of Wanjiku. Let’s avoid 2022 campaigns and push for development that will benefit the mwananchi,” stated Kuria.

He disclosed that Team Wanjiku has lined up a series of countrywide tours to drum up support for the Big Four agenda in a bid to support President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kuria had joined Governor Sonko, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, Embakasi South MP Julius Mawathe among other leaders in the launch of the movement.

Governor Sonko later distributed food to vulnerable groups from the region, noting that he will continue with his selfless deeds.

“I’m doing this as the good deeds ambassador and I will continue to distribute relief food across the country in support of the less fortunate members of the society,” added Sonko.
