President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga are yet to avail themselves to receive the report, weeks after the 14-member taskforce completed the report.

While Kenyans are eager to know what is contained in the report, Manyora argues that it's possible that Uhuru is avoiding the report for personal reasons.

In a recorded analysis on Sunday, the commentator said that its possible that Uhuru was fooling Raila, with whom they founded the BBI, and has realised that he cannot commit to the initiative.

"I think Uhuru fears this report. Could it be that he is playing Raila and now he realizes that he can't face it? He can't face Raila and can not continue with the project because he was never genuine?" he posed.

However, he pointed out that Uhuru is very unlikely to do this, as he is unlikely to get away with it. According to Manyora, this would subject Uhuru to more harm than good.

He also pointed out that since the BBI has been seen to be a possible avenue to amend the Constitution, its possible that it's facing opposition from Deputy President William Ruto.

He opined that it's possible that Uhuru and Raila have detected that Ruto, who appears opposed to the BBI, has planted poison on the ground, and are still thinking of a way to deal with him.

He also argued that it is possible that Uhuru is finding it hard betraying Ruto, given that he (Ruto) played a major role in his election in 2013 and 2017 reelection.

"Is he finding it hard to look Ruto in the eye and betray him? It cannot be timing because this is now getting beyond timing," he added.
