A coffee factory based in Murang'a lost coffee estimated to be worth around Sh6 million on Tuesday.
It is believed that over 150 bags were ferried in a lorry from stores belonging to Gathinja Factory in Kahuro.
The factory becomes the third to suffer losses following theft a few days after County Commissioner Mohamed Barre issued an alert on this.
The farmers led by Matiba Edwin faulted the management board for the loss alleging that information had been given over the impending theft.
"Management should be held accountable and meet all the costs incurred following the loss, since this seems to be well planned and whereby police should investigate the issue," said Matiba.
Acting Deputy County Commissioner for Kahuro Amos Nyansoro said that investigations were ongoing to ensure those behind the theft were arrested and charged.
In a span of one month, Geitwa and Kiawanduma factories have also been looted.
