West Pokot Governor Professor John Krop Lonyangapuo (JKL) is a happy man after being awarded by Kenya’s Godfather of comedy Daniel Dambuki, popularly known as Churchill.
The Governor is the 2019 Taji Awards winner leadership category, after unanimously being voted the funniest politician in the Country. Churchill made the announcement during Churchill Show’s West Pokot Edition, which aired on NTV on Sunday.
“Taji is humor awards based on leadership, schools, funniest TV Commercial, funniest Preacher, it is going to be very huge, it is going to be open to the public next year,” said the comedian.
He said that Governor Lonyangapuo literally ran away with the award in the leadership category after lacking someone to match his funny political undertones in the recent past.
“This year, the academy chose some very amazing personalities that they felt they needed to honour. One of awardees was Njugush, and also in the news category there was Emmanuel Juma of NTV. Now in leadership category, the winner was unanimously his Excellency the Governor of West Pokot JKL. The leadership humor award bringing Kenyans together,” said Churchill.
The county boss was awarded a glittering trophy. One of Governor Lonyangapuo’s funny vibes is the Kijana Fupi Round (short round young man) aimed at one of his critics.
