Cancer is unpredictable and usually detected at later stages hence many people lose their lives.
At advanced stages, most cancer types are nearly impossible to treat.
There are things everyone can do to lower their risks of cancer;
1. Get regular cancer screening tests
Regular screening can help you detect cancer at earlier stages before they spread and get to advanced stages. Ask your doctor to conduct screening for all possible cancer types in human.
2. Have a healthy weight
According to Cancer.org, being overweight and obese is a gateway to many cancer types including breast, colon, kidney and pancreatic. Practice body activity and healthy eating.
3. Get vaccinated
Certain types of cancers can be prevented through vaccination against certain viruses. These include Hepatitis B which can cause liver cancer especially in men. Human Papilloma Virus(HPV) can also causes cervical cancer and other types of cancer of female genitalia.
4. Eat a healthy diet
Although choosing to eat healthy doesn't guarantee cancer prevention, it might reduce your risks. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, avoid high sugar foods. Limit alcohol intake as too much intake exposes you to colon, liver and kidney cancers.
5. Exercise regularly
General body activity helps reduce your cancer risks. Colon and prostate cancers can be prevented by regular exercises. In women, it prevents breast cancer and possibly reproductive cancers.
