Limuru Member of Parliament Peter Mwathi has become the latest politician to bash Gatundu South lawmaker Moses Kuria over allegations of being disrespectful.
Speaking in Mutakwa village in his constituency on Thursday, the lawmaker also accused Kuria of disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta in his public rants.
He urged the firebrand second-term parliamentarian to conduct himself with dignity, wondering how he faces his family after publicly hurling insults at fellow leaders.
"Does this man have a wife and children? How does he go home and sit down with his family after hurling such insults in public,” he said.
But in response, Kuria hit back. Speaking at Gaithece in Gatundu South on Friday, he said that he has not insulted anyone and the allegations being heaped on him are politically instigated.
The MP said that his remarks are only aimed at bettering the lives of Mt Kenya residents.
He claimed that Mwathi will not be reelected to office in 2022, advising him to use his remaining time in the office properly.
“I listened to Mwathi, I want to advise him that he only has 29 months left to serve in the as MP. I am sure the people of Limuru will not re-elect him,” he said.
Kuria has been seen working with area lawmakers backing Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid lately, which has been openly engaging in politicking.
Kuria is a Member of Parliament from the constituency in which the president comes from.
