Tycoon Tob Cohen's widow, Sarah Wairimu is now fighting to access her Sh400 million marital home in Kitisuru.
On Tuesday, Wairimu asked the court to consider her plight arguing that she doesn’t even have clothes to change after she was released from police custody.
The Star reports that her lawyer, Philip Murgor argues that she deserves to be treated fairly because she has not been proven as the murderer.
Wairimu who is the main suspect in the case, claims she has been depending on friends and relative since she got freed from custody after the death of her husband.
She also wants to be given access to her car, saying it has become expensive for her to move around when she lacks a car. Her lawyer also wants permission to access the site alongside his client so that he can take inventory.
State counsel Catherine Mwaniki has, however, opposed the request to access the home because it is a scene of a crime.
Mwaniki also said that the vehicle remains exhibit in the court because the deceased used to travel in the same.
Wairimu has maintained that she is innocent.
The tycoon’s body was discovered at his home forty days after he went missing.
