Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Wednesday bought a bull worth Sh800,000 for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Uhuru and Sonko had attended the official opening of the 2019 Nairobi International Trade Fair which kicked off on Sunday at the Jamhuri Showground in Nairobi County.
In a video shared by Sonko on his official Facebook page, Sonko and the President were at the auction ring where bulls were being auctioned, and outbid other buyers who were interested in purchasing the bull which was being auctioned.
"800,000 from the governor to the president," the auctioneer said before handing over the bull.
In an earlier post, Sonko thanked investors and inventors from all parts of the world for attending the annual event and exchanging ideas and innovations in efforts to boost development in Nairobi County.
"Indeed, it’s been more than a century of tremendous growth and progress, while bringing together people from all parts of the world, from all possible sectors of various economies, to showcase their trades and innovations while exchanging ideas that have continued to power development within Nairobi as a City, and in different ways amongst all those who have been participating over the years.
