Speaking in Nairobi's Molem estate on Saturday during the launch of the revamped New KCC Dandora factory, Sonko said that the two sides are attempting to derail President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto from achieving the Big Four Agenda.

He noted that his government is fully behind Uhuru as he works around the clock to leave behind a legacy once his term in office ends.

Sonko promised to stand with the commander in chief of the armed during the toughest moments if that is what it will take to deliver the promises Uhuru made when he was seeking re-election in 2017.

"We have no time for groups talking about 2022. All we want is development," he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

On his part, President Kenyatta warned leaders against engaging in early campaigns. The head of State said that the campaigns are not good for the economic growth of this country.

He asked leaders to concentrate on development rather than his succession. The President noted that the next General Elections are still far and leaders should reconsider their agenda.
