Speaking on Sunday in Kibra, the firebrand Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) legislator said that Bungoma senator Moses Masika Wetangula and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi were no longer Luhya leaders.

Aladwa appeared to take offence in Wetangula and Mudavadi for fielding candidates in the Kibra by-election against ODM's candidate Imran Okoth.

"We don't want to hear anything about Wetangula or Mudavadi. Luhya affairs will now be handled by Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya (Hatutaki kuskia mambo ya Weta kwako, hatutaki kuskia mambo ya Muda kwako. Mambo ya waluhya tuko na Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya), " the Makadara member of parliament said. (32:20-32:30)

The decision by ANC and Ford-Kenya to field candidates in the Kibra parliamentary race has been interpreted as betrayal of the highest order by ODM's rank and file.

The race has added fuel to speculation that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is now on its death bed.

Mudavadi and Wetangula have maintained silence amid blistering criticism that they have every right to field candidates and have said that they will not be intimidated by ODM.

There are high stakes involved in the by-election especially for veteran opposition and ODM supreme leader Raila Odinga.
