Jijenge Quarry and Construction company has invested in projects worth millions of shillings at Yamumbi in Kapseret constituency, Uasin Gishu County.

On Saturday, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago commissioned various projects initiated by the company. 

"Today, I commissioned an Ultra-Modern Quarry in Yamumbi, Kapseret sub-county. The quarry is owned by Jijenge Quarry and Construction Co LTD. The close to Ksh 500M investment is an idea of a group of young innovative entrepreneurs from Uasin Gishu County," read part of Mandago's post.

Mandago noted that he was pleased with the company's investments, which had effected a positive change like employment creation in the county.

He pledged to support the company financially, through the offering of loans to boost its businesses. 

He said that his administration would actualise their monetary assistance through a kitty known as 'Inua Biashara Fund'.

"I was touched by the story of 45 young businesspeople (below 40) who came together, mobilized resources and approached financial institutions to set up mega businesses in town. From their friendship, they have built trust and to a level that they are now big investors."

"My administration have initiated ‘Inua Biashara Fund’ to finance upcoming entrepreneurs and ‘Enterprise Development fund’ to support cooperative societies, saccos and organized groups. We will support and motivate investors like Jijenge to better their dreams," noted Mandago.

Apart from the quarry, Mandago also commissioned other projects which include Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives such construction of police housing units, water kiosks and issuance of cheques to support the education the poor.
