Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris has reacted after coming under scathing attacks for posting pictures of her treatment in hospital.
A social media user appeared to question the judgement of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party legislator for posting the photos yet there people in the slums who couldn't afford the medical care that Passaris flaunted in the pictures.
"You should stop posting this because, how do you think people from slums feel yet they can't afford Kenyatta National Hospital KNH.?" The social media user posted.
Passaris hit back fiercely, asking the critical social media user what he was doing to make things better.
In her defence, she said that as a member of the National Assembly Health Committee she was helping in the realisation of President Uhuru Kenyatta's signature Big Four Agenda.
"What are you doing about it? #ManUp I invested 50 million to be elected a leader. I served way before being elected. At 55 #OfficiallyMadeOfTitenium because of the sacrifices I made. As a member of the Health Committee we shaping the Presidents #AgendaFourKe #UHCKe being crucial (sic)," the Nairobi woman rep responded.
Passaris flew to India to undergo surgery, a decision that saw her come under blistering criticism from a section of Kenyans who wondered why she did not seek treatment at a local health facility.
