Kiambu Governor Dr James Nyoro has assumed the reins of power as county head.
Speaking on Friday after taking the oath of office, the new county boss pledged to ensure that what he called as the Kiambu advisory council is formed in a matter of weeks.
The council will comprise of high profile individuals in the county.
Their brief would be identifying, planning and discussing Kiambu county's development priorities.
"Over the next two weeks, we will be forming Kiambu advisory council, comprising of eminent people who will be sitting down to discuss and plan the development of Kiambu county now and years to come," Governor James Nyoro said in his acceptance speech.
The newly-installed county boss said that it would not be business as usual in his stint as governor.
Among his proposals is the reorganisation of the employment structures in the county that would ensure that there was regional balance in the dishing out of county jobs going forward.
He also pledged to ensure that the vice of graft would be dealt with.
His former boss, Ferdinand Waititu's short stint was marred by allegations of corruption, setting the stage of for his impeachment and removal from office.
