Mills in an interview with Football Insider focused on the issue of Victor Wanyama, a Kenya international who missed out on Mourinho's team for the first game.

He said that there are clubs who will run after his signature since his performance in the field is impressive.

"Teams anywhere, from seventh down in the Premier League are thinking: ‘Oh yes, he can do a job for us.’ If not, he’ll maybe go somewhere in Europe or further afield," the former Man City defender said.

“He’s still a very, very good player and that’s the other thing Mourinho’s going to have to do, get a few out because Daniel Levy, there might be a little bit of a warchest but he’s still going to have to balance the squad and get a bit of money back in, so getting players out is going to be part of his remit as well,” he added.

Wanyama joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2016 and has 96 appearances for Spurs and 154 total English Premier League (EPL) games.
