Muthaiga Police Station Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Alphonse Kemengua was on Friday interdicted over the photos which have been circulating on social media.

According to the Nairobi Police Boss Philip Ndolo, Maribe and the other friends of Itumbi may be required to provide answers.

“They were inside the cells, how they ended up there is clear. They were allowed (in). But there is need of having them (to) tell us why they opted to take such a move,” a source told Nairobi news.

Itumbi’s visitors at the police station risk a 2 years’ imprisonment if found guilty of disorderly conduct at the Police station.

In case police decide to pursue the matter, Maribe may find herself even in more trouble. The former news anchor who resigned recently is a key suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani. Hearing of her case is currently underway.

Itumbi had been remanded for five more days as police continued with investigations over the fake letter at the centre of an alleged plot to assassinate the Deputy President William Ruto.
