Deputy President William Ruto's meeting in Kisii county which was scheduled for Monday 9th December 2019 has been cancelled, this is according to Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
Maangi broke the news of the cancellation of the meeting through a Facebook post on Friday.
DP Ruto was expected to preside over a fund drive in Kisii to help in the construction of a modern state-of-the-art recording studio.
"The planned visit by H. E. the Deputy President Dr William Ruto to Kisii to aid artists from Gusii to build a modern state of the art recording studio that was scheduled for Monday 9th December 2019 has been postponed to Sunday 15th December 2019 from Noon at Kisii School," wrote Maangi on his facebook page.
Maangi added DP Ruto is attending a different function something that led to the cancellation of his trip.
"The Deputy President will be attending the 2019 African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of Countries Summit of Heads of State from the Caribbean Member States at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi," Maangi's facebook post read further.
Maangi is a close ally to DP Ruto despite him being allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
