To survive Kenya's tough politics, one has to play his cards well. Those who have failed to do this have been crushed with their political careers coming to a sudden end.
Kenya's politics is very unpredictable, and as a result, very few politicians in the country today have managed to win five consecutive elections.
1.William Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto is one of the biggest names ever to grace Kenyan politics.
At just 29, he was first elected to Parliament as Eldoret North MP during the 1998 general election. At the time, he was one of the youngest MPs in the country.
Since then, Ruto has been a mainstay in politics. He has won all the subsequent elections, and risen to be Kenya's number two in command.
With 2022 election fast approaching, will the DP make it six straight wins if he goes for President?
2. Kiraitu Murungi
In 1992, Kiraitu Murungi made his debut in elective politics. He was first elected Imenti South MP where he went to serve for four straight terms, before winning Meru County senatorial seat in 2013.
Murungi would later contest and win the Meru gubernatorial seat in 2017.
3. George Khaniri
Another smart political survivor in the country is Vihiga Senator George Khaniri.
At just 24 years, the young Khaniri inherited his late father's Khamisi MP seat in 1996.
Since then, the now 46-year-old politician, has won all the elections he has participated in.
