Media personality Janet Mbugua revealed that her children have played a major role in her life in helping her get closer to God.
As quoted by the Star, Monday, the mother of two children said that she has gone through some hard times in the past few days, something that she is working hard to at least create a state a balance in her life.
"My children have been bringing me closer to God and I always think like Huru and Mali are in touch with my spirituality as I possibly could," Janet Mbugua said.
The former Citizen news anchor said that she wants her children to enhance a healthier vulnerability in them as young men.
She, however, said that she will act as an example to them, by letting them feel free in articulating how they feel whenever they are in safe space.
"I want them to have a healthy vulnerability as young men. I want them to be able to articulate how they are feeling when they are in a safe space and I kind of want to live by example," she said.
Janet Mbugua has been in the forefront pushing for better menstrual hygiene and also fighting for the abolishment of taxing menstrual items such as sanitary towels.
She is also known through her book 'My First Time' that she released last year October.
