AFC Leopards chairman Dr Dan Shikanda has said Ingwe are still in contention for the 2019/2020 Kenya Premier League (KPL) trophy.
He said despite losing to Gor Mahia over the weekend, AFC still have a chance to make it right and win the trophy.
Shikanda said Ingwe are moving in the right direction after bagging 15 points from nine games played in the league so far.
He said winning the league is AFC's major priority this season.
“Let me reaffirm to our fans, members and supporters we are still firmly in the competition as we had earlier agreed, and we are in this to compete and not just to participate,” Shikanda told Goal.
Shikanda said he is determined to help to revive the club ’s fortunes and bring back it lost glory.
“Let’s all remain focused on reviving the team and return it to where it belongs,” he added.
Ingwe are currently seventh in the league, and will face Bandari in their next fixture, where they hope to bounce back from their last defeat.
