Forces allied to Deputy President William Ruto have been advised to stop attacking former Prime Minister Raila Odinga regarding the Likoni channel order.
Some Jubilee Party members have launched scathing attacks and mockeries on Raila after he claimed to order a halt to the dredging works at the Likoni channel on Saturday.
However, political analyst Dennis Anyonka wants the group to stop attacking the leader on grounds that the order is in itself unofficial, and there is no need to respond to it.
Speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha on Monday, he termed the group a jobless team which is maximizing on the slightest opportunity it can get to fire at the former Prime Minister.
He pointed out that the attacks are only making Raila more popular and giving the relevance of the said order.
"The Jubilee people have nothing to do as otherwise, you cannot be irked by something which lacks the force of law. They are giving him relevance over an order that is not even order, but a mere remark (Watu wa Jubilee wamekosa kazi ya kufanya maana hauwezi kerwa na jambo ambalo halina force of law. Wanampa Raila relevance kwa order ambayo sio order, ni usemi tu)," he said.
He noted that though Raila was wrong, he made a clear suggestion which everyone can see would be the right thing to do.
"That's logic, even if the government will stop the works it will not be because Raila said it (Lile ni jambo logic, hata kama serikali itasema isimamishwe itakuwa sio eti kwa sababu Raila amesema)," he added.
Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua was the one who kicked off the attacks on Raila.
