While being interviewed by K24's Betty Kyallo on the Up-close with Betty show, Bahati said that he wants to be president so that he can change the lives of people living in Eastlands.

“Wait, are you saying you want to be the president?" asked Betty.

“I am not saying, I will be someday 2037, mark that. I want to make an impact on the Eastlands people,” responded Bahati.

The musician said that before he becomes the Head of State he is working hard to help youth from ghetto areas to grow their talent.

“In the new generation, there’s no artist who has taken many people from the Eastlands and supported their talents like me,” he said.

The singer currently runs his Eastlands Most Beloved (EMB) recording label after rising from the streets to one of the most sought after gospel musicians in the country. He said it is a blessing because his music can be listened to by anyone in the society.

“Bahati is called everywhere to perform. I feel so humbled that I am one of the few young artists whose music can be listened to by parents and kids,” he added.

Whether he will ascend to the presidency in 2037, it is a matter of wait and see.
