Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has been admitted at Mombasa Hospital, reports have confirmed.
The confirmation of the county boss's admission to hospital was was made by the Mombasa County director of communications Richard Chacha.
Mombasa county boss was diagnosed with malaria a few days ago has been revealed to have in hospital for the last five days as tweeted by K24 Television.
The last time that he was seen in public was during a funeral for Mr Michael Ngumbao in Ganda Ward, who was shot dead.
He was not present during the massive rally over the weekend in Kibra that was graced by high profile leaders to drum up support for Kibra by-election ODM candidate Imran Okoth, who was declared winner.
He, however, congratulated the ODM candidate on Twitter after the declaration of victory.

Joho who has declared his interest to vie for 2022, has been on the forefront in marshalling up support for the ODM's party agenda and activities.
