Kisii County Governor James Ongwae is on spot over uncollected garbage in Kisii town.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka says the county boss should serve the people diligently because some of the residents who are operating as traders in Kisii town pay revenue to the county government.
Onyonka how now threatened to mobilize residents to protest should the county government fail to collect garbage lying at Kisii main bus stop.
"I want to ask my brother governor Ongwae to move with speed and order the collection of garbage from Kisii main bus stop which has affected business. The Governor needs to know that traders and hawkers pay daily revenue and it is, therefore, sad for the concerned people to fail to collect garbage," he said during an interview on Wednesday morning at Citizen Radio.
The vocal legislator called on the county boss to personally traverse Kisii town including Daraja Market to inspect the state of the town arguing that the Governor should see how people are suffering due to uncollected garbage.
"Ongwae should move around the town on foot and see the condition of the town. Let him work around the clock to leave a legacy once he exits office in 2022," noted Onyonka.
