Political and human rights activist Ndung'u Wainaina has wondered why the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was no longer pushing for prosecution of corrupt individuals it claimed were serving in the Jubilee administration.

Wainaina noted the Raila Odinga-led outfit was in the forefront in unearthing graft scandals and seeking prosecution of suspects during Jubilee's first term, to an extent of declaring the government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the 'most corrupt in Kenyan history'.

The vocal activist challenged ODM to push for the arraignment of those graft suspects in the spirit of March 9, 2018, handshake between Raila and Uhuru and the ongoing war on corruption.

"Between 2012-2018 ODM/CORD/NASA declared Jubilee government most corrupt in East Africa and Kenya history. They provided details of corruption scandals and individuals responsible. With handshake and war on corruption can ODM demand sacking and prosecution of those individuals?" Wainaina posted on Monday.

During Uhuru's first term, ODM led by Raila claimed there was massive corruption in the government and cited Eurobond, Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and Maize importation from Mexico, as some of the projects that taxpayers lost billions.

However, Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina defended his party, saying all that they did was not in vain, as it contributed to the 'doing well' of the current economy.

"The current economy is doing well; has the potential of doing well because of what we in ODM, in the opposition did. ODM carried out a protest for the interest of this nation," Ledama said during an interview with Citizen TV on Monday.
