Deputy President William Ruto has continued his onslaught against Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at Upper Baricho Primary School in Kirinyaga County during a funds-raiser in aid of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Ruto said that it is only Raila who is rooting for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Ruto said that Raila will be in shock because his referendum bid is bound to fail.
He noted that the country needs to address matters of development and not referendum as proposed by Raila’s camp.
He also said that there is nothing the BBI report will change about Kenya no matter how hard Raila tries.
"It is only this man of vitendawili (parables) who wants laws to be changed and that is why he has come up with Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which is tiring Kenyans by asking them questions which can't help them solve their problems," said Ruto.
Ruto, who is considered as one of the front runners for power, said that Raila and his team should reconsider their priorities before 2022.
He further accused him of using the BBI to frustrate his candidature vowing to remain steadfast until he succeeds President Kenyatta.
