Tanzanian songstress Nandy is now the East African female musician with the highest number of subscribers on YouTube.
The self-declared African princess who currently has 300,000 subscribers on YouTube, took to Instagram on Tuesday to appreciate her fans for the support and love that they have shown her.
In the post, she stated that she does not take support for granted.
"Thank you for 300K subscribers My People ❤️❤️. The Most Subscribed Female Artiste in East & Central Africa 🙏🙏I don’t take this for granted. Continue Enjoying Kiza Kinene Link on my bio. Peace & Love," Nandy wrote on her Instagram page.
The achievement comes shortly after she released a collabo dubbed 'Kiza Kinene' featuring Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol.
The song which premiered on YouTube about one week ago has already clocked one million views.
Prior to the collabo with Sauti Sol, Nandy had released a song dubbed 'Hallelujah' with Kenyan gospel musician Willy Paul. The song went viral across East Africa and has so far gained over seven million views on YouTube.
The achievement of being a female artist with the highest number of subscribers on YouTube means a lot to Nandy as a musician because YouTube is one of the major sources of income for musicians.
Currently, Diamond Platnumz is the musician with the highest number of subscribers on YouTube in East Africa with over two million subscribers.
