The Cypriot government has been investigating several cases of foreigners reportedly involved in tax evasion.

This is after it emerged that a number of its citizens who hold dual citizenship have reportedly been entangled in investigations related to tax evasion.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has been investigating Kariuki over tax evasion.

In a past address, Haji said he has enough evidence against the accused.

The business tycoon is accused of evading tax amounting to Sh41 billion, a claim he has completely dismissed.
