Makadara MP George Aladwa has said that he has not taken his time to read the first Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report, which was launched and released to the public late last year.
The lawmaker, while speaking on Saturday, claimed that he will rely on the observations and advice of his party leader Raila Odinga, whom he claimed has read if for him.
Aladwa added that though he has a copy of the same, he won't read it. This is as he warned those who will oppose the BBI push that they might be in political trouble in the future.
"I have a copy but won't read it because Raila has done it for me. Those in the wrong camp have only themselves to blame (Mimi niko na copy lakini sitasoma, Raila ashanisomea. Na yeyote yule atakuwa mrengo mbaya shida yake)," he said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show.
The ODM Chair for Nairobi county also pointed out that the BBI is steady and has no chances of collapsing, given that the government, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, is also fully involved.
According to the MP, all Kenyans and leaders should consider being on the BBI side, stating that it must succeed at the referendum ballot and the proposed changes implemented.
"This vehicle has left and the issue is done with. Also, the entire government is included. (Hii gari ishaondoka na hii ni mambo imeisha tayari, na serikali yote iko ndani)," noted the former Nairobi City Council Mayor.
