Qwetu Hostels under its mother company, Acorn Holdings Limited on Tuesday launched its first ever service Centre at KCA University, main campus in Ruaraka.
The event that was colorfully graced by the Vice Chancellor of KCA University, Professor Noah O. Midamba and CEO of Acorn Holdings Ltd, Mr. Edward Kirathe brought together senior management of both Qwetu and KCA University including KCA University students who are residences of Qwetu Hostels, Ruaraka.
During the opening remarks, the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, KCA University, CPA Michael Ingutia highlighted the key role the partnership between KCA and Qwetu plays in ensuring students are accommodated in a safe –controlled environment conducive for learning and student engagement.
Mr. Peter Njenga, Chief Operations Officer, Acorn Management Services Ltd, speaking at the event noted that the Centre opened at the KCA University is the first Qwetu Service Centre in Kenya that will enable Qwetu to serve the students better and in real time.
“I am delighted to open the first ever Qwetu Students Service Centre at KCA University and this will go a long way in serving our clients better,’’ he said.
The CEO, Acorn Holdings Ltd while making his keynote address reiterated the Qwetu anchor of ensuring first class service to the students.
He also thanked KCA University for the partnership, support and dedication to see KCA University students get the best accommodation for lifelong learning and student engagement.
"The future of students’ accommodation in Kenya is through partnership and the universities in Kenya must accept partnership with hostel providers," he noted.
