According to a study, drinking as little as one soda each day increases the risk of metabolic syndrome which is a key predecessor in causing diabetes as well as heart diseases.

Soda contains high amounts of phosphate and phosphoric acid which acidifies body enzymes as well as deprives the body essential nutrients which in turn lead to wrinkles and ageing of the body.

Research carried out by the School of Public Health at Imperial College in London found out that people who took more than one soda or a sugar-sweetened beverage a day had high blood pressure that kept increasing the more they drank the beverage.
5. Soda leads to weight gain
Sugary soda increases body weight especially for the people who take the beverage daily. This is because the sweet taste signals the body to store more fat making you more hungry hence consuming more food.
