The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualifier first leg lose frustrated head coach David Ouma. As he watched his team beaten 3-1 at half time, Ouma punched against a glass door and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Starlets now have an opportunity to redeem their Tokyo hope at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday during the second leg. Unfortunately, they will play under closed doors as part of CAF conditions in approving the venue.

Starlets assistant coach Jackline Juma blamed the referee for their defeat. However, she promised to recover when Malawi visit Kenya and play return fixture on Sunday. She said her team will score two goals and proceed to the third round as they prepare to participate in the Olympics.

“We started well but unfortunately my ladies lost it some few minutes to the end of the first half. In the second half, we pressed on but Malawi defence was too tight. We had a chance to win the match but I blame the referee, he was not fair at all, my players were brought down in many occasions but he didn’t blow the whistle," Juma said as reported by Citizen.
