Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has argued that ODM will teach their NASA partners and Jubilee friends a lesson in Kibra by-election by defeating them.
In a tweet, the ODM director of elections noted that their candidate Imran Okoth's political competitors refused to heed to his advice of quitting the race in order to avoid a humiliating defeat.
He observed that the ODM was the most dominant party in the country's capital city, Nairobi.
Furthermore, the MP claimed that the party would make their rivals in NASA and Jubilee learn a lesson of 'political humility' the hard way in the upcoming by-election.
"I urged all the aspirants on the other parties to exit the scene but they didn’t listen. The ODM is a city animal. In Kibra we will teach our friends in NASA and partners in Jubilee a lesson in political humility," read part of the tweet.
ODM nominated Imran, brother to the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth to fly the party's flag in the mini poll.
He will battle it out with former football star MacDonald Mariga (Jubilee), Raila Odinga's ex-aid Eliud Owalo (ANC), Khamisi Butichi (Ford Kenya) among other candidates.
Kibra constituency parliamentary seat became vacant after the death of the sitting MP Ken Okoth in July 2019.
The highly competitive by-election will be held on 7th November 2019.
