The 14-member team has since completed its report-writing job, after crisscrossing the nation picking views from Kenyans on the beat way forward for the country.

Politician and former Langata MP aspirant Stanley Livondo has said that should the team be proposing a referendum, it should ensure that it has made spotless proposals.

He says that otherwise, the team will forever be blamed by Kenyans should their proposals, which he said are likely yo be passed, land the nation in constitutional issues as it is in now.

"We want the report to be solid, we don't want the shame we are having now. If there will be any issue Kenyans will blame them (Tunataka vile watatoa iyo report iwe solid na isiwe na aibu kama hii, maana kama kutakuwa na shida wakenya watawalaumu)," he said.

Livondo made the remarks on Radio Citizen's Pata Shika show on Wednesday night, also attended by Ndaragua MP Jeremiah Kioni and his Kitui Central counterpart Makau Mulu.

He expressed confidence that the team will give Kenyans the best in its report, considering that its made up of nationally known scholars, though the report is likely to be subjected to public scrutiny before any further processing.

According to Livondo, the report must address the leadership system and come up with suggestions which will make Kenya a united republic, characterized by tribal tolerance.

"Let them seal all loopholes. We want a Kenya where Central Kenya people can work in Nyanza. A Kenya that belongs to every Kenyan (Wafunike loopholes zote, tunataka Kenya ambayo watu wa Central wanaweza fanya kazi Nyanza, Kenya iwe ya kila mtu)," he added.

The taskforce is a product of the 2018 truce between President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
