Kipkenyo Ward residents now want area MCA Hillary Rono to resign for alleged misappropriation of public funds.
They alleged that the MCA has been using public funds to benefit his friends and girlfriends instead of the people of Kipkenyo ward.
"As we are talking over Sh22 million Rono cannot explain how he used the funds yet our people are living in abject poverty only giving is excuses," said businessman cum politician David Letting.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Thursday, they said that they gave documents to relevant authorities proving how he had misappropriated that money and will soon catch up with him.
"We have taken the documents to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission and to the Director of Public Prosecution to conduct investigations in the same. We cannot stay mum while public funds are being stolen, " added Elias Kogo.
Richard Tanui Kipkaren resident said the ward is lagging behind interns of development due to misappropriation of public funds.
He says the MCA should come out and explain how the funds were used.
But speaking in Eldoret town on Thursday Kipkenyo ward MCA Hillary Rono refuted the claims saying there is no single cent which has been swindled from public coffers terming their sentiments mere allegations that do not hold any water.
He noted that if David Letting alias Kokwas and his supporters had evidence that money was embezzled, they should report him to relevant authorities.
Rono said he is ready to explain the money he was allocated and the projects that has been built.
