Isaac Motari who is the Kisii County Jubilee Party youth secretary-general decried the court's leniency on the ward representative.

According to Motari, justice will not be served to the family of the defiled girl.

"The court releasing Omayio on a Sh300,000 bond is an insult to the girl child. The MCA took advantage of the minor to defile her only for the court to release him on a small bond. He could have been released on a bond of not less than Sh1 million to serve as an example to some local leaders chasing school girls for sex," said Motari at Isamwera on Monday evening.

Motari lamented that the MCA may end up being a free man following his release, adding that in the 2022 polls, the electorates should show leaders like Omayio the door.

"Voters need to be vigilant and ensure rogue leaders like Omayio are not elected to hold any public office," said Motari.

The vocal politician's sentiments come after Nyamira Resident Magistrate Alice Towet granted the MCA bail on grounds that the prosecution failed to justify their claims that if the MCA is released he will interfere with the probe.
